STUDIO LISA SMITH

S

EMA B

Client: Emaillerie Belge, Belgium
Design: Lisa Smith and Damian O’Sullivan
Year: 2019

Enamel is a thin layer of glass on a steel surface. This however only begins to define the technique. The superb colours and the depth in the gloss layer is where the fascination begins. The six enamelled nesting bowls form a colourful concentric tableau of inwardly radiating circles. Stacked above each other some colours appear only when the bowl above is removed, they play a game of hide and seek.
